Holy Week

Tomorrow is Good Friday. Sometimes reading the story about Holy Week I lose touch that it is not just a story but a true and actual event. An event that changes everything about my life today because now because of Christ's sacrifice for my sins and His resurrection, I live with the assurance and hope that one day I will be with Him in Heaven!  And until then, I am adopted into His family as His daughter and live aware of His overwhelming love for me.

To help me focus on the significance of this week I want to watch "The Passion Of The Christ".  I looked up showtimes and found the following on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) website.  I wanted to share in case you are interested in watching it and being reminded of the significance of this week.

"The Passion Of The Christ" follows the last twelve hours of Jesus's life from his emotional turmoil in the Garden of Gethsemane until his final moments of the crucifixion. Director Mel Gibson brings the struggle and sacrifice of Jesus (portrayed by Jim Caviezel) to life, like nothing ever seen before. Viewers must be cautioned that due to the graphic violence displayed in depicting the horrific death Jesus endured for us, this film is rated TV-MA-V.
