Family in Town

This weekend we got to see Stephen, Mallory, Luke and Baby Anna (who has just a few more months until she makes her appearance!)  We met up at Union Bear, a yummy pizza place in Uptown.

Larkin and Luke LOVE their Uncle David.  Larkin just stares at him and smiles.  Luke loves him too and apparently even at one point was crying this weekend when he left the room.  Something about crazy Uncle David!

Little Luke loves his Daddy.  It's so fun to see him walking around all by himself.



So thankful for my family!  We are looking forward to more times with them in the future now that they're in Texas!!

In Remembrance of . . .

Dear Larkin,
There is one family member whose birthday is today that I wish you would have been able to meet. Your great Grandma Latham would have turned 89 today.




She had spunk and quick wit, always keeping the family on their toes and making us laugh with her little rhymes. Mommy loved spending time with Grandma and she would have been tickled to meet you.

So today we remember, with love, Thelma Latham.

Family Visits

Last night Larkin got to meet my crazy Aunt and Uncle from Chicago.  (I say crazy because they are full of life and laughter).  We went over to Nanny's place where she treated us to a yummy dinner in the dining room downstairs.

Santa Claus Part 2

Today we went to see Santa again, this time with Cousin Luke!  As we waited we spotted a few "cutters" who would just jump in line when the "elf" men weren't looking.  They saw me spot them doing it and looked very guilty!  Oh goodness- I'm afraid they will get coal in their stockings. 

ANYWAY..It provided entertainment while we waited. Here we are waiting.  Luke munches on his banana and Larkin loves crazy Uncle Stephen....

And then here we are with Santa.  As we waited I told Stephen I loved the pics of screaming babies on Santa's lap  I just think they're so cute.  Well Luke came through.  He did great until the photographer started waving elmo in his face.  Doesn't he look SO cute?  Again, Larkin just looks a bit concerned.

What cute cousins!  So thankful for Luke, Steve and Mal.  We are enjoying this week spending time with them.  I'll have to post more pics at the end of the week.

More Family Fun

We had a great rest of the week with family. Early in the week, Mom rented out the lobby of her apartment complex for the evening which had a great kitchen, huge comfy couches, and large T.Vs. She cooked us the most wonderful spaghetti dinner and surprised us by having a delicious TCBY cake (all of our favorites) and cards for each of us to celebrate our upcoming birthdays. It was such a special and fun time with everyone and we turned that whole lobby into quite a daycare between Luke and Larkin's stuff. Thanks for making it special, mom!

A few days later we camped out and spent one more afternoon together at Nana's place. Larkin napped quite a bit while Luke entertained us!

I'm so thankful I really have been blessed with two amazing brothers and an incredible sister-in-law who is a perfect match for Stephen and a great friend to me. It was so good to see everyone. I always get emotional when family leaves and this time was no different. I love y'all :)

...Now it's time to say good by to all our FAMILY... M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!
