Larkin Michael Brazeal

The choice to name our son Larkin is a very special one to us. The name Larkin is Irish. The spiritual meaning is “Strength of God” and the Inherent meaning is Fierce Warrior. Larkin's middle name, Michael, means “Who is like our God?”



I believe the Lord knew this little one’s name before the foundations of the earth and had set it in our hearts as parents to give to him. In the meaning there is much to live and grow up in to.



My prayer is that Larkin will grow up into a strong, loyal, brave young man who is marked by a humility and submission to his Heavenly Father and whose strength is a reflection of that dependence.

In addition to the significance in the meaning of the names, Larkin is a family name. I was blessed with 2 wonderful sets of grandparents. On my mother's side, my grandparent's names are Fay and Jim Larkin. My grandfather, Jim Larkin, recently passed away. The day before he passed away Jordan and I were able to tell him we were considering Larkin as a boy's name if our baby was a boy. I'm so thankful for that opportunity to tell him, he smiled in acknowledgement.

Jim Larkin was a friendly, extremely loyal, hardworking and very caring man. He loved his wife and family very much and his friends called him "Larkin" "Lark" or "Tiger". We feel our little Larkin is blessed to have a name with such significant meaning and with such a special namesake. Larkins on one of their first dates
